I'll be honest: I've never been someone who enjoys scrolling LinkedIn or crafting the perfect post.
But I've built four companies, and I know that consistent visibility is not optional if you're trying to build pipeline without a big marketing budget.
So a few years ago I stopped trying to enjoy it and started trying to systematize it.
Here's what changed everything: I stopped thinking in posts and started thinking in presence.
The insight is this — you don't need to post every day to build an audience. You need to post consistently on a rhythm your audience can predict. Two high-quality posts a week, every week, will outperform seven mediocre ones every time. Consistency at a sustainable cadence compounds. Intensity that burns out doesn't.
My system:
- One Monday morning session per week, about an hour
- I pick a theme for the week (one idea, not five)
- I draft all posts from that theme while I'm in "planning mode"
- I schedule everything before I close the laptop
- I don't touch it again until next Monday
The key is separating thinking from writing from scheduling. When you collapse them into one frantic "I need to post something" moment, it feels hard every single time.
How often are you actually posting vs. how often you think you should be? Curious what that gap looks like for people — drop it in the comments. …more

After 25+ years building companies, here's a lesson I wish I'd learned sooner:
Consistency beats intensity.
Two good posts every week for a year will outperform a burst of daily posting followed by silence.
Visibility compounds. Burnout doesn't.

How do you stay visible without posting every single day?
A client asked me that this week. She's a coach, brilliant at the work, and convinced consistency meant a daily grind she couldn't keep up around real client work.
Here's what I told her. It looks like a volume problem. It's actually a system problem. Showing up consistently isn't about posting more. It's about setting your voice once, planning a few weeks ahead, and drafting in minutes so a busy stretch doesn't knock you off the map. Consistency beats frequency. Three good posts a week you can sustain will always outrun a daily sprint you abandon by Thursday.
That's the reason Radi8 exists for solo experts: to make showing up practical instead of exhausting.

The blank page is not a creativity problem.
It is a starting problem. And for most independent consultants, coaches, and advisors trying to build visibility on their own, the starting problem wins more often than it should.
You know what you want to say. You have the thinking. What you do not have is a first draft — and without one, the post never gets written, the video never gets recorded, and another week passes without showing up where your future clients can find you.
Radi8 removes that specific barrier.
Before it generates anything, Radi8 learns your brand, your voice, your positioning, and your marketing goals. That matters. It means the draft it produces is not a generic content block you have to tear apart and rebuild. It is a working document — shaped by your strategy — that you review, adjust, and approve.
Editing a draft is a fundamentally different task than creating from nothing. It is faster, lower friction, and far more likely to actually get done.
From there, the path is straightforward. Open the built-in teleprompter, read your approved script, and record once. Radi8 handles video compression and adds captions automatically. Then schedule it, and Radi8 publishes to your channels.
One session. One take. Content across your platforms.
Visibility does not require a production team or a content manager. It requires removing the part that stops most people: the blank page.
If getting visible and staying consistent has been the goal but the execution keeps stalling, try Radi8. The trial is a practical way to see whether a tool that knows your brand before it writes a word changes how you show up.

A few weeks ago I ran a test on my own company.
I asked ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity the questions our buyers actually ask — "best AI tool for a consultant who wants to post on LinkedIn," "Hootsuite alternatives for a solo founder." Radi8 didn't come up once.
That stung. But it confirmed something I've been telling founders for a while: the way buyers form trust has changed, and most of us are still optimizing for the wrong reader.
Here's the trap. We spent months building positioning for humans — clever, memorable, deliberately set apart from the category. Great for a landing page. Invisible to the machine doing the recommending. An AI doesn't search your clever sentence. It breaks the question into plain category words and recommends whoever consistently shows up for them.
Clever positioning wins the click. Category language wins the citation.
But the real lesson isn't an AI trick. It's the thing I keep coming back to: your brand is your promise, and a visible, consistent body of work is now the evidence people — and their AI — use to decide whether to trust you, long before the first conversation. When your story isn't consistent everywhere, the machine has nothing solid to cite.
I wrote up the whole thing — what we found, why it happened, and what we're changing — in public: https://www.radi8.com/blog/show-up-when-buyers-ask-ai-for-recommendations
A question for the founders here: have you checked what the AI assistants say about your company when someone asks for a recommendation in your category? What did you find? …more

Have you asked an AI who it recommends in your field? Try it, then look at what comes back.
More buyers are doing exactly that. Instead of a Google search or a nudge from a former colleague, they ask an AI: "who's the best person for this?" And the AI answers with what it can retrieve — a clear, consistent body of work it can actually find and read.
That changes things for coaches and consultants. Clever branding doesn't help if there's nothing there to retrieve. Visibility isn't just how humans find you anymore. It's machine-readable reputation, and the substance you publish is what gets you named.
This is where Radi8 helps solo experts stay retrievable without the daily grind: showing up consistently so the work is there when someone, or something, goes looking.

What if building a public presence just turns into performative posting?
It's the worry I hear most from coaches and consultants who know they should be visible but don't want to become someone chasing reach for its own sake.
Here's the distinction that matters. Performative posting optimizes for attention this week. A body of work does something else entirely: it shows how you think, how you decide, and whether you follow through — over time. Buyers don't trust claims. They trust evidence they can watch accumulate.
So stop asking "what will get engagement?" and start asking "what would I want a skeptical buyer to find when they check whether I'm any good at this?" Then publish that, consistently. Reach becomes a byproduct. Trust is the point.
If you want help figuring out what your body of work should actually say, book 30 minutes with me and we'll map it — no pitch, just a clear read on where you stand: https://calendly.com/foclarity/30min

When a public engagement gets scrutinized, everyone assumes it's about the price.
It rarely is.
I've watched this play out across organizations for 25 years. A consultant can be delivering enormous value — and still lose the room. Not because the work is bad, but because the people footing the bill can't see how the work connects to the mission.
That's the gap that erodes trust. And it's especially dangerous in public initiatives like Measure M, where the audience is already hurting from job losses and watching every dollar.
Here's the part leaders miss: consulting at this level is genuinely an art. You can't compare a complex transformation engagement to a landscaping contract with a fixed scope and a visible result. The value is real, but it's harder to see — which makes communication part of the work, not an afterthought.
Value delivered in private isn't the same as value understood in public.
So the lesson isn't "charge less" or "do more." It's this:
When stakeholders can't see progress toward the goal, they fill the silence with doubt.
The fix is rarely cheaper. It's clearer:
- Tie the work back to the stated mission, every time.
- Show progress in terms the public actually cares about, not internal milestones.
- Treat transparency as a deliverable, not a courtesy.
Trust isn't built by being the lowest bidder. It's built by letting people see how the work moves the mission forward.
For those of you leading high-visibility, publicly-funded initiatives: how do you make progress legible to people who only see the invoice? …more
Most B2B marketers believe LinkedIn growth requires daily posting.
The real lever isn't consistency for consistency's sake—it's batching content in focused blocks so you're not reacting to the platform all day.

Three things I got wrong about marketing across three startups:
1. I treated it as a phase. "We'll do marketing once the product is ready." Then the product was ready, the launch window closed, and we were starting from zero on awareness with a runway clock ticking. Marketing isn't a phase. It's a habit you build before you need it.
2. I hired it out too early. The first agency we paid wrote posts that sounded nothing like us, ran ads against the wrong audience, and I spent more time briefing them than I would have spent posting myself. Outsourcing only works after you know what good looks like for your business.
3. I confused volume with consistency. We did sprints — two weeks of daily posts, then silence for a month. The algorithm punishes that pattern. So does your audience. Three posts a week, every week, beats fifteen posts in a burst followed by nothing.
What I do now is the opposite of all three. Marketing is the first habit, not the last. I run my own content with AI-assisted workflows so I know what good looks like before I delegate. And I optimize for showing up every week, not for output spikes.
That's what I'm teaching at my workshop on May 28th in San Jose at the MLK Library, hosted by the Silicon Valley Small Business Development Center. The exact workflows I use now, after three startups and one exit.

Most founders I talk to say the same thing: "I don't have time for marketing, and I can't afford to hire it out."
Natalia Bishop, founder of the WILD Accelerator, told me something that stuck. She said most of the founders she works with have the idea and the drive. What they don't have is a system to stay visible without burning out.
That resonated because it's the exact challenge I see with early-stage founders every week. You're building the product, closing deals, managing cash flow — and somehow you're supposed to stay top of mind with prospects and investors too.
In our conversation on the Inspiring Founders Podcast, Natalia walked through how WILD supports founders from underrepresented backgrounds with grants, mentorship, and leadership coaching. One of the most valuable things they offer isn't funding. It's helping founders build a repeatable system for showing up consistently, even when resources are tight.
You don't need a full marketing team to stay engaged with your audience. You need a workflow that's simple, repeatable, and doesn't eat your week.
If you're handling your own marketing and want a system that fits your schedule, book a free 15-minute marketing audit with me. I'll walk you through one or two quick wins and a repeatable content workflow you can run yourself.

You know LinkedIn matters for your business. You also know you're not posting enough.
The problem isn't that you don't have anything to say. It's that maintaining a consistent presence feels like a full-time job you don't have time for.
Most advice on LinkedIn growth assumes you have hours every day to scroll, engage, and post. That's not realistic if you're running a business.
Here's what actually works: a repeatable workflow that doesn't require living on social media.
The goal isn't to go viral. It's to stay visible and helpful to the people who matter to your business. Consistency beats volume every time.

I'm offering a free audit for small business owners who need clarity on what to post and how to stay consistent — without burning hours on marketing every week.
Most founders I work with don't struggle because they lack ideas. They struggle because they don't have a repeatable system. Every post feels like starting from scratch.
After three startups and advising companies through billion-dollar exits, here's what I know: the founders who win aren't the most creative. They're the ones with systems they can run week after week.
A free 15–20 minute audit. We'll:
- Identify 1–2 quick wins you can implement this week
- Sketch a simple workflow that fits your schedule
- Give you templates you can reuse without starting from zero
Not a sales pitch. A focused conversation.

I'm putting on a workshop for personal and small brands who want to learn how to use social media with AI.
May 28th in San Jose at the MLK Library. Hosted by the Silicon Valley Small Business Development Center.
If you run your own marketing, you know the problem. You know LinkedIn matters. You know you should be posting more. But you don't have time to spend hours on content calendars or scrolling through feeds.
Most small business owners I work with feel stuck between two options: ignore social media and lose visibility, or live on it full-time.
There's a third option: build one repeatable habit that takes 15 minutes a day.
That's what I'll walk through at the workshop. Practical workflows and time-saving templates you can use the same week. No fluff—just the steps that let you stay engaged with prospects without the time drain.
I've launched three startups with one acquisition exit. I know what works when you don't have a team or a budget.
We'll cover how to use AI tools to speed up ideation, how to structure a simple editorial calendar, and how to turn one idea into multiple posts without starting from scratch every time.
You'll walk away with workflows you can implement immediately and a clear plan for your first week of content.
If you want to stop guessing what to post and start showing up consistently without the time sink, this is built for you.
Register through the Silicon Valley Small Business Development Center.

A founder I was advising last year told me she'd written the same LinkedIn post four times and never published any of them.
Not because the post was bad. Because every time she sat down to finish it, something more urgent showed up — a customer email, a payroll question, a bug. By Friday, the draft was stale and she felt guilty, so she closed the tab.
That's the marketing problem nobody talks about. It's not that founders don't know what to say. It's that the moment between "I have something to say" and "I hit publish" is full of friction, and the friction always wins.
I've launched three startups and had one acquisition exit. I've watched smart founders let their pipeline go quiet for the same reason — not lack of ideas, lack of a repeatable system that survives a chaotic week.
That's what I'm teaching at my workshop on May 28th in San Jose at the MLK Library, hosted by the Silicon Valley Small Business Development Center. Three AI-assisted workflows that close the gap between thinking and posting:
A week of posts in 30 minutes.
Competitor research in 10.
An editorial system that runs even when your week falls apart.
If you're in the Bay Area, come. If you're not, book a free 15 to 20 minute marketing audit and I'll help you build the same system for your business.

I'm opening up a few consulting slots for founders who need help getting their go-to-market strategy or positioning unstuck.
If you're running your own marketing and keep hitting the same walls—no time to plan campaigns, no budget for an agency, or you're not sure what message actually lands—I can help you build something practical that works without taking over your life.
I've launched three startups with one acquisition exit. I've advised three others that had billion-dollar exits: one IPO, one merger, one private equity deal. I know what it takes to position a product, build messaging that converts, and plan campaigns that don't require a full-time team to execute.
Right now, I work with founders and small business owners through Radi8, an app that makes it easier to run repeatable digital marketing campaigns. But I also take on a limited number of one-on-one consulting clients when the fit is right.
If you want to talk through your positioning, get clarity on your messaging, or map out a campaign plan you can actually stick to, send me a message.
