Hi, I'm Erika Sanneman, and I want to introduce you to The Multilingual Mind.
For 13+ years I've worked inside schools as a bilingual practitioner across Montessori, Spanish immersion, curriculum coordination, and instructional coaching. Over and over I noticed the same thing: most of what looked like resistance, low motivation, or poor performance was actually a skill, clarity, system, or implementation problem waiting to be diagnosed correctly.
So that became the work. The Multilingual Mind helps schools, educators, coaches, and mission-driven teams close the gap between what you want people to do and the time, training, tools, and systems they actually have to do it well. That might look like coaching, professional learning design, co-teaching and team diagnostics, restorative systems, multilingual and culturally responsive practice, or the quiet operational things like SOPs and workflows that reduce unnecessary friction.
My conviction is simple: before we blame an individual, we look at the conditions around the behavior. Good consulting shouldn't just pile on another initiative. It should build real human capacity, make better practice easier to sustain, and protect people's dignity and time along the way.
If you lead a team that's carrying too many good intentions and not enough implementation support, I'd love to hear from you. What's one thing your team keeps getting asked to do that the current conditions don't actually make possible? Tell me in the comments, I read every one.
