Organization focused on AI leadership and innovation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, based in Silicon Valley
AI is making many white-collar workers busier, not freer. Korn Ferry's Workforce 2026 data (16,000+ professionals) shows 62% report heavier workloads, 52% say AI increased the number of tasks in their role, and 61% are now doing the work of more than one job. Motivation has dropped from 71% to 61% since 2024. Trust and confidence in senior leadership among non-executives has also declined sharply (from 68% to 53%).
This is not classic burnout. It is a persistent burden paired with fear of job instability and the struggle to stay relevant without enough training, guidance, or a clear career path. Many people are not psychologically built for open-ended uncertainty. Layering AI on unchanged roles while raising revenue-per-employee creates local efficiency and cultural debt at the same time.
The same workforce math visible in Big Tech buyouts is showing up across the broader economy. Leadership that redesigns work, invests in real development, and gives people a visible future will outperform those that simply deploy tools.
